Hamal began with a simple observation: on a clear autumn night, one warm point of light hangs at the head of the Ram, brighter than everything around it. We have spent every year since trying to do that light justice.
We are a small crew of stargazers, chart-drawers, and people who are very particular about dark skies. We believe a good star speaks for itself, and that everything else should get out of the way.
